How long does it take until I receive my order?
For orders that require a snail mail shipment (as opposed to e-mail delivery or download) a time delay of at least a couple weeks should be expected. That is, we process orders once a week, from which time you can expect normal postage delays.
For express delivery, you can expect to receive your shipment within 3 business days.
International customers should expect time delays to vary depending on your location.
Delivery via the Internet is usually completed within 24 hours from the time we receive your payment, regardless of where the order comes from.

There have never been any virus reports in regards to Acrobat Reader's software and "plug-in" technologies, even though almost all electronic versions of printed brochures, catalogues and instruction manuals downloaded from the web are in Adobe System's "Portable Document Format". For more info, search for "virus" at http://www.adobe.com.
However, the Prepositionary is also available as a printed book. If you would like to receive an order form by fax or mail (to avoid ANY downloads whatsoever), please contact us and we will be happy to get this indispensable reference tool to you without any interaction with your computer or the Internet.
On a less related note: if you are wary about viruses, visit http://www.microsoft.com and search for "virus and outlook" to find out how to ensure that Microsoft's e-mail program is safely installed on your computer (if you wish to use or continue using Outlook). And be sure to update your virus protection software!

How can I tell a preposition from an adverb?
An adverb adds to the verb (or adjective, or another adverb). Example: She fell down. Here 'down' is an adverb; it modifies the meaning of the verb 'fell'. A preposition pre-positions what follows. Example: She fell down the stairs. Here 'down' is a preposition, because it pre-positions; relating the verb 'fell' to the stairs.

What do I do if I find a word that cannot be found in The Writer's Guide to Prepositions?
First, a lot of transitive verbs do not require prepositions. Second, if you feel pretty sure the word in question needs a preposition, and it is not in our book, e-mail it to us. We will e-mail you back example(s) with the right preposition(s), AND credit you with submitting the word for inclusion in our next regular upgrade.
